Job Title: Skilled LaborerJob DescriptionThe skilled laborer will self-perform hands-on installation of custom manufacturing equipment and play a key role in bringing new factory manufacturing lines into production. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Construction teams, this person supports mechanical, electrical, and utility installations, equipment commissioning, and documentation of completed work in a fast-moving environment with breakthrough technology and a strong mission. Responsibilities • Perform mechanical, electrical, and utility installation tasks across multiple trade disciplines to support new manufacturing lines. • Install, align, and anchor manufacturing equipment according to installation drawings and specifications. • Complete utility hookups, including electrical connections, pneumatic lines, and process piping connections. • Troubleshoot and resolve field installation issues across various crafts to ensure safe and efficient operation. • Support equipment commissioning activities and turnover of equipment to operations teams. • Document all self-performed installation work clearly and accurately for project and operational records. • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Construction teams to coordinate installation activities and schedules. • Use hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment safely and effectively during general labor and construction tasks. • Follow all safety procedures, site rules, and quality standards while working both indoors and outdoors. • Maintain a clean and organized work area in and around the manufacturing equipment installation sites. Essential Skills • Experience performing general labor and construction tasks in an industrial or manufacturing environment. • Hands-on mechanical skills for installing, aligning, and anchoring equipment using tools and installation hardware. • Basic electrical installation skills, including working with power connections and equipment hookups. • Ability to complete pneumatic and process piping connections for utility hookups. • Capability to troubleshoot and resolve field installation issues across multiple crafts. • Ability to read and follow installation drawings and work instructions accurately. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to documenting installation work thoroughly. • Effective collaboration skills for working with engineering, operations, and construction teams. • Reliability to work Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. • Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience supporting equipment commissioning and turnover to operations. • Comfort working across multiple trade disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, and utilities. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project timelines. • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-moving environment. • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors as project needs require. Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a clean, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Weirton, WV, working alongside an internal construction team both indoors and outdoors as needed. The facility offers a climate-controlled environment in most areas, with some work performed in outdoor or semi-outdoor conditions depending on installation activities. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with hands-on use of tools and equipment in an active industrial setting. Appropriate work attire for construction and industrial environments is required, including adherence to all safety and personal protective equipment guidelines. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Weirton, WV. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
