About this role

Job Title: Production AssociateJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Production Associate who will play a crucial role in the manufacturing of conductive materials such as metal plated fibers and coated non-woven materials. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manufacturing or chemical handling, a keen attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset. The position requires the ability to work independently and efficiently, utilizing a respirator when necessary.Responsibilities

• Conduct large and small volume chemical transfers. • Prepare chemical solutions and inspect raw materials. • Test in-process and finished materials. • Record data accurately and label and package finished goods. • Clean and maintain process and test equipment. • Handle hazardous materials and conduct spill clean-ups following safety procedures. • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure a safe and productive workplace. • Participate in environmental health and safety programs. • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to optimize operational efficiency. • Assist in training new operators in accordance with facility practices. Essential Skills

• At least 6 months to a year of manufacturing or chemical handling experience. • Ability to use a respirator. • High school diploma or GED. • Effective communication skills. • Attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions. • Demonstrate enthusiasm and initiative to develop and maintain robust and safe manufacturing processes. • Perform all work in full compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory agencies such as OSHA, EPA, and DEC. • Support the policies, goals, and objectives of the company. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Schenectady, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
