Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionA growing food manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in maximizing uptime, supporting production goals, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production equipment. • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve reliability. • Support production teams with equipment setups, adjustments, changeovers, and troubleshooting. • Diagnose issues with motors, pumps, PLCs, HMIs, control systems, and packaging equipment. • Follow all safety, GMP, HACCP, and quality standards. • Complete maintenance documentation and work orders using computerized maintenance systems. • Communicate equipment issues and repair status with operators, supervisors, and maintenance team members. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence. Essential Skills • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. • Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems on production equipment. • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. • Experience with PLCs, motors, pumps, sensors, and automated equipment. • Familiarity with CMMS, maintenance databases, or work order systems. • Comfortable working in hot manufacturing environments and around equipment operating up to 480 volts. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Food manufacturing experience preferred. • Technical training, apprenticeship, or industrial maintenance certification preferred. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Work EnvironmentThe company operates in a flexible and inclusive work environment, with a commitment to innovation and sustainable business practices. Work shifts include 1st Shift: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM, 2nd Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM, and 3rd Shift: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM. On your first day, you will be introduced to the facility, assigned a lead to shadow for one month, and take part in a Buddy program for support and guidance. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of American Canyon, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
