Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician performs preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This role focuses on troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, diagnosing equipment failures, and completing timely repairs to minimize downtime. The technician conducts routine inspections and adjustments, supports equipment installations and production line changeovers, and maintains accurate maintenance documentation while working closely with production teams and adhering to all safety, quality, and GMP guidelines.Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of production and packaging equipment. • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to restore equipment to proper operation. • Diagnose equipment failures, determine root causes, and complete repairs promptly to minimize production downtime. • Conduct regular equipment inspections, adjustments, and performance checks to identify potential issues before failures occur. • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and production line changeovers, including set-up and alignment of components. • Complete work orders accurately and maintain detailed maintenance documentation, including preventive maintenance records. • Inspect, replace, and align belts, chains, bearings, and gearboxes to ensure smooth and reliable operation. • Diagnose and repair motors, starters, contactors, relays, and control circuits, including 240V, 480V, and 3-phase motor systems. • Work closely with production teams to maintain equipment performance and communicate maintenance needs and status updates. • Follow all safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines at all times. • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring/testing equipment safely and effectively during maintenance tasks. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals to plan and execute repairs and modifications. • Support flexible production demands by working overtime and adjusting schedules as needed. Essential Skills

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred). • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. • Strong electrical troubleshooting experience with 240V, 480V, and 3-phase motor systems. • Ability to diagnose and repair motors, starters, contactors, relays, and control circuits. • Hands-on experience replacing and aligning belts, chains, bearings, and gearboxes. • Experience performing preventive maintenance (PMs) and accurately documenting completed work. • Experience working on manufacturing, packaging, or processing equipment, including systems such as filling machines, palletizers, blow mold equipment, and Krones-type machinery. • Knowledge of hydraulics and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic systems. • Knowledge of pneumatics and the ability to troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic systems. • Knowledge of conveyors and associated drive components. • Knowledge of motors, bearings, and gearboxes and their maintenance requirements. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals. • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring/testing equipment safely and effectively. • Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience specifically in high-speed manufacturing or production environments. • Experience working on packaging, filling, blow molding, or palletizing equipment. • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments and related documentation standards. • Comfort working in a hot, non-airconditioned manufacturing facility. • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with production and maintenance teams. • Attention to detail in performing inspections, documenting work, and following procedures. You will work around production equipment and machinery, using hand tools, power tools, and measuring/testing equipment as part of daily tasks. The schedule may include overtime and flexible hours based on production needs, and you will spend most of the day on the production floor, moving between equipment and performing hands-on maintenance work.Ex Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
