Job Title: Aircraft Disassembly Technician IJob DescriptionThe Aircraft Disassembly Technician I is an entry-level role responsible for safely dismantling aircraft components, structural sub-assemblies, and airframes in accordance with manufacturer manuals, regulatory standards, and company procedures. You will use standard hand and power tools to remove, tag, and log parts while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace. This position offers hands-on mechanical work in a dynamic aviation environment with clear processes, structured training, and opportunities for growth.Responsibilities

• Disassemble aircraft in a systematic and controlled manner, following manufacturer manuals, regulatory standards, and company procedures. • Accurately document the disassembly process and account for all components removed from airframes and engines. • Properly identify, tag, and label removed parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company policies. • Assist team members with coordinating equipment and task assignments to ensure goals and objectives are met. • Inspect disassembled components for obvious defects, wear, or damage using appropriate inspection tools and methods. Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of general hands-on mechanical experience. • High school diploma or GED. • Experience using hand tools commonly employed in vehicle or aircraft maintenance. • Fundamental understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and electrical systems principles. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Basic understanding of airframe mechanical systems, powerplant and fuel systems, avionics and electrical systems, and emergency and interior equipment aboard commercial aircraft (preferred). • Experience with disassembly or teardown work in mechanical or aviation environments. • Familiarity with parts catalogs and component identification processes. Typical schedules follow 1st shift patterns, such as 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday, supporting four-day workweeks. Work involves constant standing, walking, bending, crawling, and kneeling, including operations in confined spaces like fuel tanks, electronics bays, and cargo holds. You will frequently work at heights on mobile platforms and ladders while using fall protection. The position requires regular lifting of heavy tools, equipment, and aircraft components exceeding 50 pounds. The environment includes outdoor work on flight lines, ramps, and tarmacs in all weather conditions, from extreme heat to freezing temperatures, rain, and high winds. You will be exposed to high noise levels from jet engines, pneumatic tools, and ground support machinery, with mandatory hearing protection. Daily tasks may involve handling hazardous materials such as aviation fuels, hydraulic fluids, solvents, lubricants, and sealants, with appropriate personal protective equipment including safety shoes (steel or composite toe), gloves, goggles, and hearing protection. Operationally, you will work under time-sensitive conditions with dynamic priorities, managing high-stress situations during tight turnaround windows while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Coolidge, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
