Entry-Level HVAC Installer / Ductwork Technician Bridgton, ME | $20 - $28/hr | Contract-to-HireAs an Entry-Level HVAC Installer / Ductwork Technician, you'll work alongside experienced professionals installing HVAC equipment, ductwork, and ventilation systems in residential and commercial buildings. • Assist in the installation of HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioning systems, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment. • Help assemble, install, and secure ductwork and sheet metal components according to project plans. • Learn HVAC installation, startup, troubleshooting, and service procedures under the guidance of experienced technicians. • Safely operate hand tools and power tools to cut, fit, and install system components. • Assist with basic electrical and mechanical connections as part of HVAC installations. • Support troubleshooting and repair activities while developing diagnostic skills. • Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at job sites. • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas. • Follow all safety procedures and utilize proper PPE while working on active construction sites. • Work as part of a team to complete projects on schedule and deliver quality workmanship. • Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. • Dependable, hardworking, and motivated to build a career in the skilled trades. • Comfortable using hand tools and power tools. • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work throughout the day. • Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, rooftops, attics, crawlspaces, and other construction environments. • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. • High School Diploma or GED preferred. Bonus Qualifications While not required, the following experience is a plus:
• Construction, carpentry, sheet metal, maintenance, or mechanical experience. • HVAC trade school or vocational training. • OSHA 10 Certification. • Experience reading blueprints or installation drawings. • Familiarity with HVAC systems, ductwork, or sheet metal fabrication. • Interest in developing troubleshooting and repair skills. Work Environment This is a field-based position working on residential and commercial construction projects throughout the area. You'll install and service HVAC equipment, ductwork, ventilation systems, and related mechanical components. Work may take place indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and will involve climbing ladders, working in attics and crawl spaces, and performing physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, and standing throughout the day.If you're motivated, dependable, and ready to learn a valuable trade, we'd love to hear from you.
