Finishing Operator 📍 Location: Plymouth, MN💲 Pay: $17.00 - $19.40/hour🕒 Position Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 Months) Job Description We are seeking a Finishing Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Plymouth, MN. In this role, you will trim, finish, inspect, and package plastic and aluminum parts to meet customer specifications. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work with hand tools, and comfort in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities
• Trim tabs and excess material from plastic and aluminum parts using hand tools. • Sand, polish, measure, and finish parts to meet quality standards. • Inspect parts for defects and perform rework when necessary. • Assemble and finish products according to production requirements. • Count and package completed parts according to customer specifications. • Enter production and process information into the computer system. • Verify order quantities and product specifications before releasing finished work. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. • Work independently while contributing to team production goals. • Lift and move materials up to 40 lbs. Required Qualifications
• Minimum 6 months of manufacturing or production experience. • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. • Basic computer and calculator skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. • Experience using hand tools such as utility knives, grinders, sanders, and pliers. • Strong attention to detail and quality. Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience as a Finishing Operator, Machine Operator, or similar production role. • Experience working with plastic or aluminum products. • Familiarity with trimming, sanding, polishing, and finishing processes. • Ability to quickly learn new systems and procedures. • Flexible with shift schedules.
