Job Title: General Production - 1st or 3rd - up to 20.75/hrJob DescriptionThis General Production role supports a metal stamping manufacturing operation by performing a variety of hands-on tasks, including material handling, basic machine support, and final inspection. You will work on-site as part of a small, dependable crew, helping to move raw and finished products, prepare items for shipment, and ensure quality standards are met. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with multiple shifts available and clear pathways to long-term employment and advancement.Responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks in a manufacturing and metal stamping environment. • Operate and work safely near presses, benders, and shears under established procedures. • Stack finished and raw products to feed equipment and support continuous production. • Prepare finished goods for shipment, including staging, organizing, and securing materials. • Inspect final parts for defects and verify they meet quality and specification requirements. • Use basic math skills, such as adding and subtracting, to support production and inventory tasks. • Lift, push, and pull materials and products weighing up to 40 pounds throughout the shift. • Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of required steel toe footwear and proper attire. • Maintain a clean, organized work area to support safe and efficient operations. • Work reliably as part of a small crew where consistent attendance and punctuality are critical. • Demonstrate mechanical aptitude by learning and supporting basic operation of production equipment. • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to report issues or defects and support smooth workflow. • Adapt to different general labor assignments as production needs change across shifts. Essential Skills

• Ability to perform basic math, including adding and subtracting, to support daily production tasks. • Capability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. • Manufacturing or industrial work experience, with at least 1 year of general production or similar experience preferred. • Comfort working in a metal stamping and hardware manufacturing environment around presses, benders, and shears. • Strong attention to detail to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met. • Self-driven work ethic with the ability to stay focused and productive with minimal supervision. • Reliable attendance and punctuality, especially in a small-crew environment where each person is critical. • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn basic equipment and production processes. • Ability to follow safety rules and wear required steel toe footwear. • Ability to work full shifts on your feet in a fast-paced industrial setting. You will work as part of a small crew where attendance and reliability are essential. The environment involves operating near presses, benders, and shears, handling metal components, and performing physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40 pounds. Multiple shifts are available, including first shift schedules such as Monday–Thursday 5:00 AM–3:00 PM and 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, as well as third shift 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. The position follows a contract-to-hire structure with an initial 4-month period. Steel toe footwear is required at all times, and proper work attire includes short sleeve shirts (no bare shoulders), no shorts or capris, and legs and ankles must be covered. The facility operates with a focus on safety, teamwork, and consistent production, offering a structured yet supportive industrial work setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Archbold, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.75/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
