Per diem structural welders Charleston, SC Pay: $30-31/hr + $150 per diem Contract Duration: 1-2 year to direct Shift: 1st and 2nd (working 15+hrs of OT/week) Per-Diem: $150/dayResponsibilities
• Join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques. • Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine the appropriate welding process. • Inspect completed welds to ensure structural soundness. • Weld and fit various large structural steel components for NAVSEA-related equipment. Essential Skills
• Proficiency in using tape measures, fitting, Flux core, pulse, MIG pulse, and squares. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols with 3-5+ years of experience. • 3-5+ years of experience in structural fitting and welding. • 3-5+ years of experience in both flux core welding and pulse welding. • 3-5+ years of experience in converting fractions to decimals to 1/16th and/or 1/32nd from tape measures. • 3G Flux Core Weld Test on a 1 in plate • 3G Pulse Weld Test on a 3/8th plate Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, SC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
