Job Title: Material HandlerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on receiving products, accurately picking orders in the warehouse, and ensuring a steady flow of materials to the production lines. You will work with RF scanners and spend approximately 30% of your time operating forklifts and 70% performing manual warehouse duties, including handling boxes up to 50 lbs and applying labels and barcodes to inventory.Responsibilities
• Receive incoming products and verify quantities and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. • Load and unload trucks using a forklift when products are on pallets and manually move boxes by hand weighing up to 50 lbs when required. • Apply identification labels and barcodes to cases and individual boxes at the point of receipt, which may include applying up to 200 labels on a pallet and 100–300 barcodes per day. • Use RF scanners to track, locate, and manage inventory within the warehouse and production areas. • Pick and stage orders to ensure materials are delivered on time and in the correct sequence to the production lines. Essential Skills
• Minimum 1 year of experience in material handling within a warehouse environment. • Hands-on experience performing manual warehouse work, including lifting and moving boxes up to 50 lbs. • Proficiency operating forklifts, including electric counterbalance and electric walkie equipment. • Experience using RF scanners for inventory tracking and order picking. • Certification on electric counterbalance forklifts. The role follows a daytime shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cambridge, ON. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
