About this role

Job Title: Maintenance ElectricianJob DescriptionTo maintain the electrical infrastructure of the plant along with production equipment and machinery utilizing your knowledge of 120V-480V. Responsibilities • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools. • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous. • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system. • Use basic tools such as multi-meters, pipe benders, hand tools, etc. • Understand and exercise the required safety precautions necessary to complete the job. • Complete the assigned task in a timely and professional manner. • Comply with OSHA safety and health rules. Essential Skills • Experience with industrial troubleshooting and maintenance. • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints. • Proficiency in electrical wiring, installation, and testing. • Experience with PLC, circuit breakers, and transformers. • Problem-solving and analytical skills. • Technical capacity in using hand and power tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Technical training with exposure to high-speed equipment. • 2+ years of related experience in production machines. • Preferred experience in electric equipment repair. This is a first shift opportunity starting at 6 am Monday-Friday, with overtime available on weekends. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cedar Park, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
