Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionResponsible for the hands-on creation and packaging of meat products within a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment. Responsibilities • Handle and process high-quality meats and sausages to ensure a consistent finished product. • Place sausage links into Multivac packers and operate packaging machinery. • Navigate full and empty trolleys through the production area and move product from sticks into sausage cutters. • Visually monitor meat quality, identify products that are out of specification, and place them in rework bins. • Maintain a clean work area free of debris and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). • Setup and operate industrial machines such as cutters and metal detectors. Essential Skills • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and stoop throughout an entire shift. • Frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. • Comfort working in cold storage environments with temperatures routinely 30–45 degrees. • Precision in following recipes, weighing ingredients, and ensuring proper labeling. • Effectively communicate and collaborate with co-workers and supervisors to meet daily goals. Additional Skills & Qualifications • High school diploma or GED is often preferred but not always required. • Previous experience in food production or a warehouse environment is typically preferred. • A Food Handler Certificate is frequently required or listed as an advantage. The shift is from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role is physically demanding, requiring general labor and production tasks. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $16.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
