Job Title: Production Associate – Cheese CutterJob DescriptionThe production associate – cheese cutter plays a key role in a dairy manufacturing facility that produces yogurt and feta cheese. In this position, you accurately weigh and cut blocks of feta cheese, prepare them for packaging, and support general production activities such as mixing ingredients into production machines, basic assembly tasks, and inspection to ensure product quality and consistency.Responsibilities

• Weigh and cut blocks of feta cheese by hand with knives, following precise weight and size specifications before products are packaged. • Handle soft cheese carefully to maintain product integrity, appearance, and quality throughout the cutting process. • Support general production tasks, including mixing ingredients into production machines for yogurt and other dairy products as needed. • Perform basic assembly, general labor, and packaging duties to keep production lines running efficiently. • Operate production and packaging equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). • Conduct visual inspections of products and packaging to identify defects, quality issues, or non-conformities. • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and quality standards required in a food manufacturing environment. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, promptly removing waste and debris to support a safe and efficient production floor. • Lift, move, and position materials and products, including cheese blocks, weighing up to 30 lbs throughout an 8‑hour shift. • Stand for extended periods during the shift while performing cutting, packaging, and general production tasks. • Adhere strictly to all company policies related to dress code, personal protective equipment, and scent-free requirements. • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and timelines while maintaining high quality standards. Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1+ year of manufacturing experience, ideally in a food production setting. • Demonstrated ability to perform general labor and production tasks in a manufacturing environment. • Experience with production operations such as assembly, general production, machine operation, packaging, and inspection. • Ability to stand for the duration of an 8‑hour shift while performing repetitive production and cutting tasks. • Ability to lift and handle items weighing up to 30 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. • Comfort and proficiency using hand tools, specifically knives, to cut soft cheese accurately and safely. • Attention to detail and strong focus on quality when weighing, cutting, and inspecting products. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in packaging operations in a manufacturing environment. • Experience working in a food manufacturing facility with established hygiene and safety standards. • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). • Experience in roles such as packaging, quality inspection, general labour, production operator, packager, or assembly. You work on your feet for most of an 8‑hour shift in a production area that involves handling dairy products, using knives to cut soft cheese, and supporting packaging and machine operation activities. You must wear or bring socks, as protective boots are provided on site. Contact lenses, fingernail polish, false eyelashes, and jewelry are not permitted, and prescription glasses with jewels or embellishments are also prohibited to maintain safety and hygiene standards. The facility operates under Good Manufacturing Practices, and the dress code emphasizes practical, safe attire suitable for a clean, controlled production environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of St. Mary's, ON. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.20 - $23.20/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
