Job Title: General Production WorkerJob DescriptionThe General Production Worker operates manufacturing equipment, supports overall production activities, and ensures products meet safety and quality standards. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Responsibilities • Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment in accordance with established safety and quality standards. • Perform machine setup, calibration, and minor troubleshooting to keep equipment running efficiently. • Inspect finished products for defects and verify compliance with production specifications. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift. • Document production data accurately and report any issues or irregularities to supervisors. • Assist with loading and unloading raw materials and finished goods as needed. • Frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. • Follow all company safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines at all times. • Use hand tools and operate machinery as required for production tasks. • Support general production activities to meet daily output and quality targets. Essential Skills • High school diploma or equivalent. • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operation role preferred. • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. • Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to product quality. • Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team. • Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment. • Comfort using hand tools and operating production machinery. • Capability to follow written and verbal instructions and production procedures. • Reliability and punctuality in adhering to assigned work schedules. Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a non-climate-controlled production facility where work is physically active and requires frequent lifting and movement of materials. The position is on 2nd shift, running from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on a rotating schedule: during the first week, employees work three days for a total of 36 hours, and during the second week, they work four days for a total of 48 hours. Team members work around manufacturing equipment, hand tools, and material handling devices, following strict safety protocols. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, and employees should be comfortable working overnight hours in an industrial setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Griffin, GA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
