About this role

Job Title: AssemblerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on performing complex mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies on a production line, while supporting continuous improvement and quality standards within a modern manufacturing environment. You will work on the first shift in an air-conditioned, state-of-the-art facility, contributing to efficient, safe, and high-quality production. Responsibilities • Execute complex assembly tasks, including advanced mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies on the production line. • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly work according to established procedures. • Follow detailed prints, schematics, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to assemble products to specification. • Coach and train lower-level assemblers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support on assembly techniques, safety procedures, and quality standards. • Ensure the team adheres to all safety and regulatory compliance standards at all times. • Continuously review assembly processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other departments to resolve design or manufacturing issues as they arise. • Perform final quality inspections and testing to confirm that assembled products meet company standards and specifications. • Maintain inventory of parts and materials required for assembly and ensure stock levels remain at optimal levels. • Follow lean manufacturing guidelines and provide continuous improvement suggestions to enhance efficiency. • Work under production deadlines, including occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays, while maintaining high quality standards. • Comply with all workplace safety rules and maintain a clean, organized work area. • Perform assembly tasks while standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching as required by the job. • Handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving items up to 35 pounds, using proper ergonomic techniques. Essential Skills • At least 2–5 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing roles, including work on an assembly line. • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies. • Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools in a production or assembly environment. • Experience following prints, schematics, and build SOPs to complete assembly tasks accurately. • Strong expertise in reading and interpreting complex technical documents, including engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications. • Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for resolving assembly and manufacturing issues. • Ability to train and mentor junior team members and actively contribute to team development. • Solid knowledge of quality control processes and manufacturing best practices. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across teams. • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines without compromising quality. • Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination to perform precise assembly tasks. • Ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching as required. Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a modern, air-conditioned manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona, featuring state-of-the-art Industry 4.0 technology and electric charging stations on site. The role operates on first shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays to meet production deadlines. The environment is production-focused, with work performed on an assembly line using hand tools, power tools, and other standard manufacturing equipment. The role requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching as needed, as well as lifting and moving items up to 35 pounds, supported by good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mesa, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
