Job Title: Environmental Services HousekeeperJob DescriptionThis role provides essential housekeeping and environmental services in a hospital setting. You will help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces by performing a variety of janitorial and general cleaning tasks throughout the medical facility, including hallways, bathrooms, and common areas. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Responsibilities • Clean and sanitize hallways, common areas, and other high-traffic spaces within the medical building. • Clean, disinfect, and restock hospital bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors. • Sweep and mop floors in hallways, bathrooms, and other designated areas. • Empty trash receptacles throughout the facility and transport waste to designated disposal areas. • Perform general janitorial duties such as dusting, wiping surfaces, and maintaining cleanliness of entryways. • Follow hospital environmental services procedures and safety guidelines while using cleaning products and equipment. • Work independently to complete assigned cleaning tasks efficiently and on schedule. • Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor while working in patient care and public areas. • Report any maintenance or safety issues observed during cleaning to the appropriate contact. • Assist with additional housekeeping and environmental service tasks as needed to support overall facility cleanliness. Essential Skills • Experience performing cleaning, housekeeping, or janitorial duties in a professional setting. • Ability to sweep, mop, and perform general floor care tasks safely and efficiently. • Capability to empty trash, handle waste properly, and maintain clean waste disposal areas. • Strong attention to detail when cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms and common areas. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage assigned tasks. • Reliable attendance and ability to work Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. • Good attitude and professional conduct while working in a hospital environment. • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift light to moderate loads during the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience in hospital environmental services or medical facility housekeeping is a plus. • Background in general labor or janitorial work in large buildings or institutions is beneficial. • Comfort working in a healthcare setting with regular interaction in patient and public areas. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established cleaning procedures. • Willingness to learn hospital-specific environmental service standards and best practices. You will use standard cleaning supplies and janitorial equipment such as mops, brooms, cleaning solutions, and waste containers. The role involves being on your feet for most of the shift and moving between different areas of the facility. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., providing a consistent afternoon and evening shift in a busy healthcare environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Saint Louis, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
