Job Title: Construction CleanerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on providing thorough cleaning and general labor support at a large data center construction site in Los Lunas, NM. You start with outdoor site cleanup and transition to detailed interior cleaning once the facility is ready, helping maintain a safe, organized, and professional environment throughout the build.Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive outdoor cleaning at an active construction site, including picking up trash and debris and supporting overall site clean-up. • Power wash sidewalks, concrete surfaces, and other exterior areas to maintain a clean and safe work environment. • Sweep parking lots and outdoor walkways to remove dust, dirt, and construction materials. • Transition to interior cleaning duties once work moves inside the building, focusing on detailed cleaning of the data center environment. • Wipe down server racks, cables, and wires carefully to remove dust and debris without damaging equipment. • Sweep, mop, and dust interior floors and surfaces to keep the facility clean and presentable. • Perform repetitive cleaning tasks while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail over long shifts. • Work on your feet for 8 to 10 hours per day, moving throughout the site as needed to complete cleaning tasks. • Work at heights of approximately 6–8 feet, using ladders and appropriate safety practices to access elevated areas. • Wear and properly use required construction personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel toe boots, at all times. • Carry ladders and equipment and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, bending, lifting, and reaching as part of daily duties. • Collaborate and coordinate with other trades and workers on-site to perform cleaning tasks safely and efficiently in shared work areas. • Follow safety guidelines and site rules to ensure a clean, orderly, and hazard-free environment for all personnel. Essential Skills
• Prior labor experience working outdoors in environments that may involve construction or general outdoor work. • Experience performing cleaning, janitorial, or general labor duties, including trash removal, sweeping, and surface cleaning. • Ability to work safely and effectively in an active construction environment with multiple trades operating simultaneously. • Capability to carry ladders and other equipment and to kneel, bend, and stand for long periods of time while wearing construction PPE. • Comfort working 100% outdoors and in non–climate-controlled areas, including exposure to hot and cold weather conditions. • Ability to work at heights of approximately 6–8 feet while maintaining safe practices. • Willingness and physical ability to be on your feet for 8 to 10 hours per day. • Ownership of steel toe boots and willingness to wear them as part of required PPE. • Reliability to work Monday through Friday on a day shift and to perform occasional overtime when needed. • Back ground in construction, outdoor labor, or similar physically demanding work environments. • Experience with power washing sidewalks, concrete, and other exterior surfaces. • Familiarity with janitorial duties in industrial or commercial facilities. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. • Strong attention to detail when cleaning sensitive areas such as server racks, cables, and wires. • Flexibility to adapt as the scope of work transitions from outdoor site cleanup to indoor facility cleaning. The role is initially 100% outdoors in an active construction environment, with work performed around various trades and ongoing building activities. The facility is not climate controlled, so you must be comfortable working without air conditioning and being exposed to hot and cold weather elements. The standard shift runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with some overtime required, extending shifts to 8–10 hours as needed. You wear full construction PPE, including steel toe boots, and spend most of the day on your feet, carrying ladders, moving equipment, and working at heights of approximately 6–8 feet. The environment is physically demanding but structured, with clear safety protocols and a focus on maintaining a clean, orderly worksite. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Los Lunas, NM. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
