As an Electrical Assembler, you will play a crucial role in installing and testing wiring systems for truck-mounted aerial lifts, ensuring functionality and safety for diverse industries. Responsibilities • Assemble, evaluate, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus. • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus. • Construct and fabricate parts using hand tools and specifications. • Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. • Advise management on the continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus. • Perform minor troubleshooting to isolate electrical/repair problems. • Execute repairs on minor mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems. • Identify parts to be repaired or replaced and requisition replacement parts. • Provide necessary tools for assigned repair tasks. • Observe safety precautions and use all required safety equipment. • Report any unsafe acts or equipment discovered during duties. • Maintain and clean the work area. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Essential Skills • Basic knowledge of industrial wiring and power distribution. • Basic knowledge of automotive electrical systems. • Ability to lift and manipulate 50 pounds. • Capability to use tools for minor repairs. • Ability to work in a team or independently to repair and maintain equipment. • Experience in a manufacturing environment subject to heat, cold, noise, dust, and odors. • Forklift Operator certification required. • Two-year Electrical, Technical, or related degree preferred. • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship is a plus. • At least 2 years' experience as an Electrical Technician preferred. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Experience with hand and power tools, soldering, and fault-testing equipment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Knowledge of 12-volt wiring is a strong plus. • Ability to read a multimeter. • Familiarity with inverters. • HVAC Tech experience is beneficial. Work EnvironmentThis is a first shift opportunity, Monday - Thursday from 6:00am to 4:30pm, with common overtime hours on Friday from 5:00am to 1:00pm. The environment is non-climate controlled with a smaller workspace featuring different work bays. Each employee typically has their own workstation. It is a safe and clean environment, though warm due to trucks coming in and out. Employees are required to bring their own gear. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waco, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
