Job Title: Install Plumber HelperJob DescriptionThe Install Plumber Helper supports licensed plumbers with the installation, replacement, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This role focuses on assisting with piping and fixture installation, preparing and organizing job sites, handling tools and materials, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plumbing codes and company quality standards. The Install Plumber Helper also interacts professionally with customers and team members while contributing to smooth project execution.Responsibilities
• Assist lead and licensed plumbers with the installation of plumbing systems, piping, fixtures, water heaters, and related equipment. • Load, unload, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment required for each job. • Prepare work areas before installation and help maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites throughout the project. • Measure, cut, assemble, and position PVC, cast iron, and other types of pipes and fittings under the direction of a licensed plumber. • Support the removal and replacement of existing plumbing systems and fixtures in both residential and commercial properties. • Follow all company safety procedures and comply with local plumbing codes and standards. • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of company tools, equipment, and vehicles to keep them in good working condition. • Accurately track materials used on each job and assist with inventory management as needed. • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors to support a positive service experience. • Support the installation team in completing projects efficiently while meeting company quality expectations. • Assist with basic service and maintenance tasks related to plumbing systems under supervision. • Read or follow basic blueprints and instructions to help position and install piping and fixtures correctly. Essential Skills
• Hands-on experience or strong aptitude in plumbing installation and pipe fitting tasks. • Ability to work with PVC, cast iron, and other piping materials, including measuring, cutting, and assembling pipe. • Basic understanding of plumbing systems in residential and commercial environments. • Familiarity with plumbing codes and willingness to learn and follow local regulations. • Ability to assist with mechanical and piping work on construction sites. • Basic ability to read or interpret blueprints or installation drawings. • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. • Ability to follow instructions from licensed plumbers and work effectively as part of a team. • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safe, clean, and organized work areas. • Reliability and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and working in varied site conditions. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in residential plumbing installation is a plus. • Experience in commercial plumbing installation or plumber pipefitter work is beneficial. • Experiance in construction or mechanical trades is an advantage. • Basic service and maintenance experience with plumbing systems is helpful. • Strong organizational skills for managing tools, materials, and inventory. • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development. • Positive attitude and readiness to learn from experienced plumbers. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Kodak, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41000.00 - $58000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.- Full benefits and 6 paid holidays each year.
