Hiring Machine Operators in Mount Joy, PA! (Direct Placement Opportunities) Job DescriptionThe Machine Operator plays a key role in ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe production operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will set up, operate, and monitor machinery, handle materials, and perform basic maintenance while maintaining strict attention to detail and safety standards. Success in this role requires reliability, a strong willingness to learn through on-the-job training, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team to maximize production efficiency.Responsibilities
• Be present for all scheduled 12-hour shifts according to the assigned shift schedule. • Set up machines at the start of each production cycle to ensure proper operation and output. • Control and adjust machine settings during production to maintain optimal performance and product quality. • Feed raw materials or parts into semi-automated machines in a safe and efficient manner. • Utilize tooling and precision measuring instruments to verify that products meet required specifications. • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machines to support ongoing operational efficiency and reduce downtime. • Handle materials safely and efficiently throughout the manufacturing process, following established procedures. Essential Skills
• Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. • Strong understanding of tooling and the use of precision measuring instruments to check product specifications. • Experience working with manufacturing equipment, including setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting. • Excellent mechanical knowledge with the ability to identify and resolve equipment issues effectively. • Ability to perform material handling tasks safely and efficiently throughout the production process. • Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to producing high-quality work. The facility can get a little dirty due to the nature of the production process, and temperatures can become very warm during the summer months. You will work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule: A Shift (8:00 pm to 8:00 am, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Sunday), B Shift (8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Sunday), C Shift (8:00 pm to 8:00 am, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Sunday), and D Shift (8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Sunday). Certain shifts include an additional shift differential. You will regularly use manufacturing equipment, hand tools, tooling, and precision measuring instruments, and may operate forklifts or other material handling equipment as needed. Appropriate industrial work attire is expected to ensure safety and comfort in this environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Mount Joy, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48214.40 - $48214.40/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Benefits include:
