Job Title: Production Machine OperatorJob DescriptionJoin a team-focused manufacturing operation that produces steel components used in major commercial and industrial construction projects. As a Production Machine Operator, you will work hands-on with steel materials, operate production equipment, and contribute directly to the manufacturing process in a fast-paced environment. Entry-level and experienced candidates are welcome, and comprehensive training is provided for those without prior manufacturing experience. 1st and 2nd shift opportunities are available, with all new hires starting on 1st shift for training before moving to their assigned schedule.Responsibilities

• Prepare, cut, and process steel materials for use in construction assemblies. • Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently according to established procedures. • Rotate between different workstations and job functions to support changing production needs. • Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices such as tape measures to complete production tasks accurately. • Assist with machine operating tasks including shear, press machine, saw operation, and other fabrication-related equipment as trained. • Perform general production and assembly work, including packing and handling materials as required. • Support construction-related tasks such as framing, carpentry-related duties, yard work, site cleanup, and other labor as needed for production. • Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily and weekly production goals. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious workspace at all times. • Follow all safety guidelines and participate in safety initiatives and programs. • Be available for overtime before or after scheduled shifts and occasional Saturday work to help meet customer demand. Essential Skills

• Ability and willingness to perform fast-paced, physically demanding work for extended periods. • Previous experience working in manufacturing, production, construction, general labor, or a similar role preferred. • Capability to operate or learn to operate production machinery and equipment safely. • Comfort using hand and power tools such as drills, saws, and other basic tools. • Ability to read and use a tape measure and other basic measuring tools accurately. • Mechanical aptitude and interest in working with machines and fabrication processes. • Strong teamwork skills and ability to work effectively as part of a production crew. • Positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn new skills and processes. • Willingness to rotate between tasks and adapt to changing production priorities. • Flexibility to work up to 10-hour shifts, occasional Saturdays, and overtime before or after scheduled shifts. • Availability to work within a broad time window when overtime is scheduled, typically between 3:00 PM and 2:30 AM for off-shift roles. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, machine operation, or general production experience is a strong plus. • Experience in construction, framing, carpentry, yard work, or site cleanup is beneficial. • Experience with fabrication processes, including shear, press machine, saw operation, and related equipment, is advantageous. • Comfort working with steel materials and in an industrial environment. • Strong attention to detail when inspecting materials and finished products for quality. • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and skill development to support advancement opportunities. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, with frequent use of hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and machinery such as shears, press machines, and saws. All new hires complete training on 1st shift for approximately 1–4 weeks before transitioning to their assigned shift. The 2nd shift schedule typically runs Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM and Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with an additional shift differential for off-shift employees. Overtime is communicated in advance, is often scheduled before or after regular shifts, and may occasionally include Saturdays, reflecting the facility’s strong commitment to meeting customer demand. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
