About this role
We are seeking an Actuarial Senior Analyst to help run the financial engine behind one of the fastest-moving parts of Astrana's business: our ACO portfolio. Across ACO REACH, MSSP, and the new LEAD model, this role owns the modeling that determines what we project, who we partner with, and what we book. You'll build models from scratch, own program economics end-to-end, and work directly with Finance, Corporate Development, and BD leadership. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Actuary and is open for remote work. Our Values: Put Patients First Empower Entrepreneurial Provider and Care Teams Operate with Integrity & Excellence Be Innovative Work As One Team Actuarial Modeling: Build and own actuarial models for forecasting, reserving, shared savings calculations, provider performance analysis, innovative clinical solutions analysis, and ACO performance optimization. M&A and Business Development: Lead actuarial diligence on ACO targets, quantifying benchmark and savings impact to support corporate development strategy. Build the analytics used to target and evaluate new provider groups. P&L Owner: Own the financial tracking and reporting for the company's ACO programs, owning partial responsibility for a major line of business's P&L at a public company. Forefront of VBC: Become an ACO expert with deep working knowledge of all three major national ACO programs (ACO REACH, MSSP, LEAD) at a leading VBC company. Analyze new and proposed CMS rules, develop our strategy around them, and help craft policy positions. Audit and Reporting: Maintain, develop, and create ad hoc ACO audit documentation in support of a public company, adhering to SOX compliance standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner across ACO, Analytics, Data, Finance, M&A, Contracting, Medical Economics, and Operations departments to translate actuarial mechanics into decisions the organization can act on. Ad Hoc Analysis: Support a fast-growing company with diverse actuarial projects and requests as they arise.
