This role provides leadership and supervision to nursing staff, coordinates resources across departments, responds to operational challenges, and serves as the administrative representative for the facility in the absence of hospital leadership. Direct and coordinate hospital operations during assigned shifts. Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care throughout the facility. Serve as the administrative authority for all departments in the absence of hospital administration. Provide expert clinical guidance and support to nursing and interdisciplinary teams. Respond to patient care concerns, emergencies, and operational issues as needed. Develop and implement staffing plans based on patient acuity, census, and available resources. Supervise Charge Nurses, Registered Nurses, LVNs, CNAs, and Mental Health Workers. Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable work environment. Participate in hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions. Mentor staff and promote professional growth and clinical excellence.
