Formwork Carpenter @ Aerotek

Formwork Carpenter Job Description We are seeking an experienced Formwork Carpenter to support commercial concrete construction projects. Reporting to the Foreman or Superintendent, you will perform formwork installation, concrete placement and finishing, rebar installation, and flatwork including sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and pads. Responsibilities

• Build, install, and strip concrete formwork systems. • Form footings, grade beams, slabs, pile caps, and other concrete structures. • Install rebar, anchor bolts, and embedded steel components. • Place and finish concrete to project specifications. • Build temporary hoarding and site protection as required. • Read and interpret construction drawings and layouts. • Safely operate hand and power tools. • Support and mentor labourers and apprentices. • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized worksite. • Work collaboratively with site leadership to meet project schedules and quality standards. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of concrete formwork experience. • Strong experience with flatwork, formwork installation, and concrete finishing. • Ability to read drawings and accurately use measuring tools. • Experience with Peri formwork systems. • Proficient with hand and power tools. • CSTS-20 and WHMIS certification. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment. Preferred Qualifications

• Crew lead or supervisory experience. • Fall Protection and Confined Space certifications. • Camlock formwork experience. • Industrial construction experience. • Ability to travel for occasional out-of-town projects. Why Join Us?

Work Environment Work on commercial concrete construction projects with crews ranging from small teams to larger site operations. Typical hours are 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with regular overtime available during peak construction season. Most projects are local, with occasional travel and per diem provided for out-of-town work. Outdoor work in varying weather conditions is required.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Albert, AB. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $44.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
