Job Title: WelderJob DescriptionThis role offers the opportunity to perform MIG welding and general fabrication in a high-volume manufacturing environment in the Indianapolis area. You will work with heavy steel components, use a variety of hand and power tools, and contribute to the production of steel and metal products on 1st or 3rd shift as part of a collaborative team.Responsibilities
• Perform MIG welding on steel and metal components according to production requirements and quality standards. • Read and interpret blueprints and production drawings to determine welding requirements and specifications. • Use a tape measure accurately to verify dimensions and ensure components meet required tolerances. • Manually handle and move materials and parts weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the workday. • Operate common hand and power tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and grinders safely and efficiently. • Grind and finish welds and metal surfaces to meet structural and cosmetic standards. • Assist with fitting and fabrication of structures, sheet metal, and other assemblies as needed. • Use hoists and other material-handling equipment to move heavy parts and assemblies safely. • Support general labor tasks on the production floor to help the team meet project deadlines and production goals. • Work effectively in a team atmosphere and collaborate with others on larger projects. • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
