Job Title: Mechanical AssemblerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team to assemble and install a sorting system at a major facility. The role requires teamwork, precision, and the use of both hand and power tools. You will work in small teams to ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.Responsibilities
• Assemble and install sorting systems at the facility. • Collaborate with team members to ensure project completion. • Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely. • Work on lifts and platforms as required. • Ensure all tasks are executed with precision and safety. Essential Skills
• 2+ years of experience in general labor within construction or industrial environments. • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools. • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. • Mechanical inclination. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience with mechanical assembly, conveyors, or similar tasks. • Comfortable working on a construction site. • Safety-oriented with the ability to work safely in all conditions. • Forklift and AWP experience (boom or scissor) is a strong asset. There is an opportunity to be considered for permanent roles or other projects based on performance.Work EnvironmentThe work is performed at a major facility with a schedule from 0630-1630, Monday to Saturday, working up to 60 hours per week with 5x 12-hour shifts. The role may require working on platforms and scissor lifts. Appropriate PPE must be worn at all times, and workers are expected to bring their own tools from the recommended list. The environment emphasizes safety and precision. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Pitt Meadows, BC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
