Job Title: Production AssociateJob DescriptionJoin our dynamic team as a Production Associate, where you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process. You will be responsible for preparing, mixing, operating presses, handling kilns, and packaging products, ensuring that high-quality standards are met throughout the process.Responsibilities
• Prepare production batches using 50-pound bags of raw materials and mix them with water using large paddle mixing equipment. • Ensure batches are properly blended before being transferred to production trays by following established formulas and production procedures. • Operate 35-ton and 50-ton presses, load mixed materials into molds, and monitor press operations for quality and consistency. • Remove finished pieces from molds and prepare them for the next stage of production. • Load formed ceramic products into kilns for firing and unload them after the firing process is complete. • Handle 'green' ceramic pieces carefully prior to firing and follow safety and quality procedures throughout the kiln process. • Inspect finished products for quality and package them for shipment. • Maintain organized work areas and prepare completed orders for distribution. Steel toe boots are required for safety. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of East Rochester, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
