Job Title: Production SupportJob DescriptionThis Production Support role plays a key part in keeping the manufacturing process running smoothly and efficiently. You will support day-to-day production operations by handling material movement, basic assembly tasks, and shipping and receiving activities. Working closely with the shop production manager and other team members, you will help maintain a safe, organized, and productive heavy industrial manufacturing environment.Responsibilities
• Operate forklifts and cranes to move materials and products safely throughout the facility. • Unload incoming trucks and load outgoing trucks with materials, components, and finished products. • Perform general labor and basic assembly work to support the production process as needed. • Handle shipping and receiving duties, including preparing orders, verifying shipments, and organizing inventory. • Collaborate with the shop production manager and production team to coordinate daily tasks and meet operational goals. • Use a tape measure and other basic tools to ensure accurate measurements and proper handling of materials. • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe work area in a heavy industrial manufacturing setting. • Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs as part of regular production support activities. • Maintain a clean, organized work environment to support efficient production operations. Essential Skills
• Experience in production support or general labor within a manufacturing or industrial environment. • Proficiency in operating forklifts and the ability to safely move materials and products. • Ability to use a tape measure accurately for basic measurement tasks. • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand and work with basic mechanical processes and equipment. • Capability to lift and handle items up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. • Ability to perform shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading trucks. • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the shop production manager and other team members. • Commitment to following safety protocols in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Somerset, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
