Job Title: Deburring TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Deburring Technician sets up, operates, and tears down rotary and manual hand tools to deburr and finish precision components in accordance with detailed documentation and blueprint specifications. This role ensures parts meet strict dimensional and quality standards by applying appropriate deburring processes, inspecting components with various inspection tools, and collaborating with leadership when issues arise. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and the capability to work independently in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities • Set up, operate, and tear down rotary and manual hand tools by following corresponding documentation and work instructions. • Perform deburring, grinding, polishing, buffing, and related finishing operations on metal parts to meet blueprint specifications. • Inspect parts using various inspection equipment and methods to verify conformance to dimensional and quality requirements. • Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to understand required features and tolerances. • Use appropriate deburring tools and rotary equipment for different machines, internal holes, cross sections, and complex geometries. • Manipulate tooling, tool and die, and work holding devices as needed to achieve proper deburring and part positioning. • Identify and implement alternate tooling or work holding devices when required to complete work effectively and safely. • Recognize nonconforming conditions and notify the Team Leader or Supervisor of problems encountered during deburring or inspection. • Adjust or alter tooling, within defined procedures, to ensure parts meet blueprint specifications and quality standards. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area, tools, and equipment to support efficient and safe operations. • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe operation of machinery and rotary equipment. • Work independently with creativity and initiative to solve problems and complete assigned tasks on time. • Support manufacturing schedules by remaining flexible and willing to work overtime when necessary. Essential Skills • At least 1+ years of experience working with scopes for precision deburring of internal holes and cross sections. • Proven experience performing deburring, grinding, polishing, buffing, and related metal finishing operations. • Knowledge of rotary and manual burring tools and their appropriate applications. • Knowledge of deburring tools for different machines and part configurations. • Knowledge of tooling and sufficient proficiency to alter tooling when required within defined procedures. • Knowledge of various inspection equipment and methods of inspection for dimensional and visual verification. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). • Ability to use alternate tooling or work holding devices when needed to complete deburring tasks. • Ability to operate grinders, rotary equipment, and other deburring machinery safely and effectively. • Strong manual dexterity for handling small parts and performing precise deburring operations. • Creativity, initiative, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with machine operation related to grinding, deburring, and polishing processes. • Familiarity with tool and die concepts and tooling maintenance. • Comfort working with inspection scopes and precision measurement tools. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a manufacturing environment. • Willingness to comply with all regulatory and security requirements associated with controlled data or information, including those related to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Work EnvironmentThe work environment is a manufacturing setting with normal industrial conditions. You will work around moving machinery and rotary equipment and may be exposed to loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust, or fumes. The role requires frequent standing, walking, reaching above shoulder level, and handling small parts with a high degree of manual dexterity. You will use safety equipment such as eye protection, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps, gowning, and other required personal protective equipment. Work hours follow standard manufacturing operations, with flexibility and willingness to work overtime when necessary. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Auburn, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $54080.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Benefits: Health care, dental, vision, life and disability insurance starting the first day of the month
