Job Title: Service TechnicianJob DescriptionAs a Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks on mobile office trailers. Your duties will include framing and finish carpentry, electrical work, flooring, plumbing, painting, running gear maintenance, and other facets of modular building repair. You will engage in light carpentry, electrical tasks, and some HVAC work, which requires no certification. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, ensuring a clean and organized work area, and providing courteous customer service both in person and over the phone. Responsibilities • Perform repairs on mobile office trailers, including carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, and painting. • Maintain proper inventory levels of tools and parts for service tasks. • Ensure a clean and organized work area. • Maintain a safe work environment and practice safety habits according to company policies. • Provide customer service by explaining repairs and services to customers. • Ensure trailers are ready for scheduled delivery. • Conduct service calls in branch territories as assigned. • Attend bi-monthly safety meetings. • Close-up multi-sectional units and ensure all doors and windows are secured. • Assist in ordering materials and unloading deliveries. • Operate forklifts as needed. • Perform office maintenance and repair tasks. • Conduct system checks and maintenance on HVAC systems per company guidelines. • Ensure routine maintenance is performed as scheduled. Essential Skills • Interest in construction and working with hand tools. • Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. • Experience with flooring, carpet, plywood, hand tools, and power tools. • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. • Basic computer knowledge and good communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • Experience in warehouse environments is a plus. Production for each modular takes approximately 30-35 hours, aiming for completion of one per week based on client needs. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vacaville, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
