What You’ll Do
• Blueprint Interpretation — Read and interpret architectural drawings to lay out floors, walls, openings, and roof systems. • Layout & Planning — Perform accurate measurements and material planning to ensure efficient framing workflow. • Floor Framing — Install sill plates, floor joists, rim joists, and subflooring on foundations. • Wall Framing — Build and raise wood or metal stud walls, partitions, and load‑bearing headers with precision. • Roof Framing — Cut and install rafters, trusses, ceiling joists, and roof decking. • Tool Operation — Safely operate framing nailers, saws, levels, squares, and other tools. • Code & Safety Compliance — Ensure all work meets local building codes and OSHA safety standards. • Team Coordination — Work smoothly with other trades and maintain project momentum. • Leadership — Guide apprentices/helpers, assign tasks, and uphold quality standards. • Site Safety & Organization — Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper PPE use. • Math & Measurement — Calculate angles, dimensions, and material quantities accurately. • Outdoor Work — Perform physical tasks in varying weather conditions and handle heavy materials. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ventura, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
