Maintenance Mechanic 2nd or 3rd Shift Pay up to $37/hrJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to repair and maintain industrial equipment, including boilers, blast furnaces, cranes, gearboxes, mobile equipment, and more. The ideal candidate will be adept at handling power train systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and possess the ability to read and interpret blueprints for repairs.Responsibilities

• Mechanically repair and troubleshoot industrial equipment such as boilers, blast furnaces, cranes, and gearboxes. • Expertly handle power train systems, ensuring alignment with couplings and output operations. • Repair and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with an emphasis on hydraulics, including replacing pumps and hoses. • Utilize MIG and STICK welding skills for repairs, with training available for candidates lacking welding experience. • Read and interpret blueprints for repair and maintenance tasks. • Use hand and power tools for the rebuilding of industrial machinery and managing breakdowns. Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role in the steel, oil & gas, or mining industries. • Experience with hydraulic systems and equipment maintenance such as boom cranes, overhead cranes, and forklifts. • Capability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems both independently and as part of a team. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Welding experience is required. • Overhead crane maintenance experience. • Heavy equipment maintenance experience is a plus. • Leadership experience is advantageous. Work primarily occurs indoors, but there will be exposure to outdoor elements while moving between buildings. Employees are required to wear PPE at all times, including steel-toed boots, hard hats, and safety glasses. Shifts available include 3rd shift (10:00pm-6:30am) and 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:30pm), working 50-60 hours weekly, typically across 6 days. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $76960.00 - $85280.00/yr.
