About this role

Job Title: Digital Press OperatorJob DescriptionThe Digital Press Operator sets up, operates, and maintains digital printing and cutting presses to produce high-quality printed materials that consistently meet internal standards and client expectations. This role focuses on precise color management, accurate job setup, and reliable equipment performance in a fast-paced production environment. Responsibilities • Set up and operate digital printing and cutting presses according to job specifications, production schedules, and company quality standards. • Manage digital press settings, including color, registration, and finishing parameters, to achieve consistent, high-quality output. • Monitor print and cutting jobs throughout production and promptly troubleshoot issues related to print quality, color, registration, or machine performance. • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on digital presses and related equipment to keep them in optimal working condition. • Assist with creating and maintaining accurate color profiles and ensure color consistency across all jobs. • Verify that each job meets quality expectations and client requirements before releasing it to the next stage of production. • Follow the production schedule closely to keep jobs on time and support on-time delivery commitments. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following all safety procedures and equipment guidelines. • Use rulers and other basic measuring tools to confirm dimensions, tolerances, and alignment meet specifications. • Work effectively with team members, communicate job status, and support others to complete production runs efficiently. • Work overtime when required to meet production deadlines and accommodate peak workloads. Essential Skills • Minimum of 1 year of experience in digital printing or a related print production environment. • Proven experience setting up, operating, and maintaining digital printing and cutting presses. • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn production software and RIP workflows. • Ability to manage color, including maintaining color consistency and working within tight tolerances. • Ability to read and use a ruler and other basic measuring tools accurately. • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and print quality. • Good color vision and the ability to discern subtle color differences. • Ability to work within tight tolerances and follow job specifications closely. • Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with team members. • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help where needed to complete jobs. • Hands-on, can-do attitude with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • High school diploma or GED. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Preferred experience with HP, EFI, Durst, and Zund digital equipment. • Familiarity with production workflows in a print manufacturing environment. • Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production setting. • Willingness to work overtime when necessary to support production demands. The setting involves regular interaction with digital presses, cutting equipment, production software, and measuring tools, with schedules that may include overtime to meet tight deadlines. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Harrisburg, NC. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
