Job Title: Material HandlerJob DescriptionThe Material Handler plays a key role in ensuring that materials move efficiently and accurately through the facility. This position involves receiving and removing shipped materials from delivery vehicles, verifying documentation for proper storage destinations, and pulling stored materials to support production and shipping operations. The role requires careful documentation of part numbers, quantities, and storage locations, as well as performing inventory and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records. You will work under direct supervision, complete daily tasks quickly and efficiently, and consistently adhere to established quality and safety standards. Responsibilities • Remove shipped materials from delivery vehicles as needed and ensure they are handled safely and efficiently. • Examine shipping and storage documents to determine correct storage destinations and handling requirements. • Pull stored materials and deliver them to designated production or shipping areas in a timely manner. • Document part numbers, quantities, and storage locations accurately to maintain precise inventory records. • Package materials according to company procedures and quality standards. • Perform regular inventory counts and cycle counts to support inventory control and accuracy. • Work effectively under direct supervision, following instructions and established processes. • Use data entry skills to update inventory systems and record material movements. • Match SKU numbers and work from picking lists to ensure correct materials are selected and distributed. • Support kitting activities by gathering and organizing parts and materials for production orders. • Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing materials. • Utilize RF scanners and Oracle ERP systems to track, manage, and control inventory. • Complete daily tasks quickly and efficiently while adhering to all quality and safety standards. • Follow company safety rules and regulations and use proper procedures, techniques, tools, and processes for materials handling. • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to coordinate material flow and resolve issues. Essential Skills • Experience in material handling, including pulling, distributing, and packaging parts. • Proficiency in data entry to accurately record inventory and material movements. • Hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes. • Knowledge of inventory control practices, including inventory counts and cycle counts. • Ability to match SKU numbers and work effectively from picking lists. • Experience with kitting activities to support production operations. • Ability to use RF scanners for tracking and managing inventory. • Familiarity with Oracle ERP systems for materials and inventory management. • Ability to understand and adhere to company safety rules and regulations. • Ability to follow established procedures, techniques, tools, and processes appropriate to materials handling. • Good math skills for counting, verifying quantities, and performing basic calculations. • Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and documenting information. • Basic computer skills to operate inventory and ERP systems. • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily duties. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Fremont, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
