About this role

Job Title: Assembly MechanicJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Assembly Mechanic with expertise in hydraulic assembly and repair. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with hydraulic and electrical systems, capable of interpreting blueprints, and proficient in assembling large mechanical equipment. This hands-on role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt across multiple product lines. Responsibilities • Assemble, install, and test heavy lift and material handling equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications. • Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly on newly manufactured equipment (approximately 95% of the role). • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair used equipment as needed (approximately 5% of the role). • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, sketches, and product specifications to determine assembly methods and sequences. • Install and connect hydraulic components, electrical systems, and mechanical assemblies. • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and safety requirements. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and other assembly equipment. • Work across multiple product lines and adapt to changing production priorities. • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve assembly issues and improve processes. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Essential Skills • 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, heavy equipment assembly, equipment manufacturing, automotive assembly, diesel equipment, or related industries. • Experience with hydraulic systems is required. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. • Ability to lift, position, and assemble large mechanical components. • Comfortable working on multiple product lines and adapting to changing production demands. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience assembling heavy equipment, industrial machinery, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, or specialty vehicles. • Experience working with jib cranes and overhead cranes. • Personal hand tools available for daily use (highly preferred). • Welding, fabrication, or machining experience is a plus. The role requires the use of various hand and power tools, and adherence to safety standards. Employees are expected to maintain a clean and organized workspace. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sherwood, OR. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
