JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree or two or more technology certifications in a related field required Certification or Licensure: None required. Must possess a valid Georgia Driver's License. Skills:Information technology practices: Hands-on and working knowledge of computer equipment, peripherals, tools, and methods for installing, cleaning, adjusting, and repairing equipment; Understanding of electronic concepts, logic, and digital electronic logic, computer operations, and data transmissions; High Performing characteristics: Creative thinker, practices effective multiple problem-solving strategies, works exceptionally well across functional teams, shows consistency and persistent effort, and creates exceptional customer experiences Work Experience: At least six or more years in a School system environment or eight or more years of industry experience in Technology. PRIMARY DUTY: This position is responsible for serving as a key contributor to project objectives and specific team deliverables directed toward the planning and execution of activities related to client computer endpoint management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Travel to several schools per day to assist assigned school locations with high-volume open work requests, resolve issues, and provide solutions that cannot be addressed or resolved by the first Level support person.
• Serve as the backup technician for a school cluster in the absence of the assigned technician
• Work with Technical Special II and School assigned Technicians to resolve computer-related issues
• Serve as the primary support person to assess, address, or work with the vendor to resolve Promethean board issues.
• Serve as the primary network field support
• Document, Develop, and train on processes and procedures related to technology and client customer support.
• Support and provide continuous training to new and existing technicians assigned to schools in the
• Support the Client Service Support Team Leader in his or her absence and perform needed duties
• Participate in after-hour, weekend, or holiday school-related tasks and events.
• Serve as an On-Call support person for IT work-related tasks or School District.
• Maintain and complete records of work and repair history in the work order.
• Drive an assigned vehicle, maintain a safety record, and keep the vehicle in an orderly.
• Follow appropriate safety procedures and protocols.
