About this role
Misión The Specialist Electrical Engineer will take a leading role in the design and delivery of complex electrical engineering systems for data center projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a consultancy design firm and at least 2 years of hands-on experience working specifically on data center projects. The role demands a proactive, technically sound, and detail-oriented professional who can coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and deliver innovative, reliable solutions. What will be your responsibilities? <ul><li> Lead the design and development of electrical systems (LV, MV, HV) for data centers, ensuring compliance with international and local standards. </li><li>Produce engineering designs, calculations, and technical specifications using industry-standard software. </li><li>Oversee and review the preparation of electrical drawings and documentation. </li><li>Liaise with clients, architects, and other design consultants to develop coordinated solutions. </li><li>Participate in technical and project meetings with clients and stakeholders. </li><li>Provide site support during construction stages, including inspections and issue resolution. </li><li>Ensure that designs meet performance, sustainability, reliability, and safety requirements of mission-critical infrastructure. Support the mentoring and technical development of junior engineers and technicians. </li><li>Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality output. </li><li>Uphold QA, Health & Safety, and environmental policies and procedures. </li></ul> This is the profile we are looking for <ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. </li><li>Minimum 3 years of experience in a consultancy design firm is mandatory. </li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in data center electrical systems design. </li><li>Working knowledge of local and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, TIA-942, ASHRAE, etc.). </li><li>Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Amtech, or similar. </li><li>Strong understanding of data center electrical infrastructure including power distribution, redundancy, UPS systems, generators, grounding, and lighting. </li><li>Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken). </li><li>Ability to work independently and lead coordination with multidisciplinary teams. </li><li>Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement. </li></ul> Our benefits <ol><li>Hybrid working arrangement – 2 days in the office (Tuesday and Thursday), with the remaining 3 days working from home, subject to maintaining the same level of commitment.</li><li>Company-provided laptop and accessories.</li><li>Medical and outpatient benefits </li><li>Hospitalisation insurance – Coverage of up to RM60,000 per year.</li><li>Annual leave – Starting at 18 days per year, with an additional 1 day granted from the third year of service onwards.</li><li>Performance-based annual bonus (based on KPIs).</li><li>Annual salary increment – A minimum of 6%, with higher adjustments based on performance.</li><li>Training and development opportunities to support your career growth.</li></ol>
