Misión As one of our founding hires in Japan, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the mechanical design of data centre facilities across the Japanese market, serving as the technical authority for cooling, HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression systems. The role demands comprehensive working knowledge of Japanese building and mechanical regulations, utility requirements and the local construction ecosystem — the critical "know-how in Japan" needed to deliver world-class, code-compliant data centre infrastructure.<br><br><div style="font-family:'Segoe UI';font-size:14px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;line-height:20px;">Candidates with Japanese nationality and extensive experience working within the Japanese market are strongly preferred. Strong English proficiency is essential, as the role will work closely with regional and global stakeholders, support cross-border initiatives, and communicate complex technical requirements in a multinational environment.</div><br> What will be your responsibilities? We are looking for an experienced <strong>Senior Mechanical Engineer</strong> with a strong consultancy background to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and delivering <strong>data center projects</strong>, ensuring compliance with international standards and client expectations.<br><strong> </strong><ul><li>Lead mechanical design and engineering for <strong>data center projects</strong>, including HVAC systems, chilled water systems, and other critical infrastructure.</li><li>Prepare and review <strong>technical documentation</strong>, including drawings, specifications, and reports.</li><li>Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.</li><li>Conduct <strong>design reviews</strong>, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations.</li><li>Provide <strong>technical guidance</strong> and mentorship to junior engineers.</li><li>Ensure compliance with <strong>quality, safety, and sustainability standards</strong> throughout the project lifecycle.</li></ul> This is the profile we are looking for <ul><li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> Minimum 8<strong> years of data center project experience</strong>.</li><li><strong>Consultancy Background:</strong> Mandatory.</li><li><strong>Software Skills:</strong> <ul><li>Proficiency in <strong>Microsoft Office Suite</strong> (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).</li><li>Proficiency in <strong>AutoCAD</strong> and <strong>Bluebeam</strong> (required).</li><li>Knowledge of other mechanical design software (e.g., Revit, CFD tools) is an advantage.</li></ul></li><li><strong>Skills:</strong> <ul><li>Strong <strong>communication</strong>, <strong>documentation</strong>, and <strong>coordination</strong> abilities.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, consultancy-driven environment.</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.</li></ul></li></ul> Our benefits 1.
