About the RoleWe are working with a leading construction company to hire a Technical Manager. The Technical Manager will oversee all technical aspects of construction projects, ensure quality and compliance, provide technical leadership, and coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams to deliver projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the technical team (engineers, designers, site technical staff) for construction projects. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight of engineering deliverables — drawings, design submittals, technical RFCs (requests for clarification), design changes, and value engineering. Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, standards, and contracts. Coordinate with design consultants, subcontractors, and vendors on technical matters. Review and approve technical deliverables, construction drawings, method statements, and technical submittals. Conduct regular site visits to monitor technical execution, quality of work, and adherence to design. Oversee technical risk management, identify potential issues, and propose mitigation strategies. Manage technical change orders and ensure their impact on cost and schedule is evaluated. Contribute to pre-construction phase: provide technical input for tendering, estimation, and constructability reviews. Drive continuous improvement: implement best practices, lessons learned, and innovation in construction techniques. Prepare technical reports, performance dashboards, and presentations for senior management. Interface with clients, external consultants, and regulatory authorities on technical matters.Requirements

Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field. Master's is a plus. 10+ years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a technical lead or managerial role. Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary technical teams. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, design principles, and quality standards. Experience working in the UAE / GCC is preferred. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Proficiency in technical design / review tools, construction documentation, and quality management systems. Certifications such as PMP, Chartered Engineer, or relevant construction quality certification are a plus.
