We have an exciting part-time job opportunity as Early Childhood Variety Instructor! You'll play a key role in teaching pre-school enrichment classes! WHAT YOU’LL DO: As Early Childhood Variety Instructor, you will plan, coordinate, and implement various recreation and instructional programs.

• Plan, coordinate, and implement a well-organized, quality recreation or instructional program using the Illinois Early Learning Guidelines for Children Birth to Age Three or the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards.

• Prepare classroom and plan/implement activities that align with state standards.

• Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order.

• Observe and evaluate children’s progress/performance in order to identify concerns in the social, emotional, physical, or cognitive development of the children and communicate concerns with supervisor.

• Prepare materials for daily activities prior to instruction.

• Adapt teaching methods and activities to meet the needs’ and interests of children of all ability levels.

• Request, store, and inventory classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.

• Collaborate with other instructors and supervisor in the development, evaluation, and revision of early childhood programs.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field, or actively seeking such degree with 1-3 years of relevant teaching experience.

• Teaching certification preferred.

WHEN YOU’LL WORK:

• Monday and Friday afternoons, hours vary.

WHAT YOU’LL GET:

• The anticipated starting pay for this position is $16-18/hour.

• This position fall under Pay Grade B with a pay range of $16.00-$38.50.
