`Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Support Technician II - 1st Shift.

The hours for this role are 7:00am - 3:30pm

The hourly rate for this position is 24.09 per hour.

What you’ll do: Eaton’s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking a Support Tech II. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility and supports the manufacturing of springs and lapping of parts which will later be assembled into aerospace products within the Space, Life Support and Actuation programs. Technicians are responsible for performing routine maintenance, collaborating with team members, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Job Responsibilities - Responsible for ensuring that compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards are met. - Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status including job specific training/certifications and ERP system data entry in accordance with site guidelines - Obtain knowledge/experience with manufacturing special processes (cleaning, molding, spring/lap). - Ability to use mechanical systems, common tools and measuring equipment. - Independently perform low and moderate complexity manufacturing operations following written instructions. - Understands product quality requirements and follows non-conforming material processes. Reports findings to team and generates non-conforming hardware documentation. - Basic understanding of special process manufacturing systems, and able to troubleshoot low to moderate issues with minimal supervision. - Basic experience with ERP systems and standard Microsoft applications

High School Diploma or Equivalency 2 years of relevant manufacturing/mechanical experience or military experience Demonstrated ability to use: Various hand tools Measuring tools Manufacturing equipment Ability to follow work instructions Ability to perform tasks without supervision Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma with skilled trade certification or Associate’s Degree or Equivalent experience 3 years of manufacturing special processes experience, such as: Cleaning Molding Spring/lap Demonstrated ability to complete all required technical skills listed above Skills: Soft Skills

Ability to communicate effectively Ability to manage time efficiently Ability to adapt to various work environments Demonstrated understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts
