About this role
As a Financial Accountant at DHL in Maastricht, you will join a growing international finance team and play a key role in supporting the organization's financial operations. You will be responsible for preparing and reporting monthly financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and DHL's internal policies. This is a full-time position (38 hours per week), working Monday through Friday in day shifts. Your workday starts between 08:00 and 09:00 and ends between 16:00 and 17:00, providing a structured work schedule and a healthy work-life balance. In this role, you will prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, manage general ledger accounts within the ERP system, and process accruals and provisions. You will execute month-end closing activities according to established timelines and support local finance teams and external auditors with financial information and documentation. In addition, you will identify recurring financial issues, contribute to effective solutions, and participate in process improvement and quality enhancement initiatives.
