Qualifications: 1. High School Diploma
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
Reports to: Teacher/Principal Functions: To help the teacher provide a smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resources materials. Responsibilities:
• Assists with lunch, snack, and clean-up routines.
• Assists with wash-up and toilet routines.
• Assists the students in such tasks as putting on and taking off of outerwear, moving from room to room, using the restrooms, etc.
• Under supervision of a licensed teacher, prepares for classroom activities.
• Performs minor clerical work.
• Assists teachers with classroom activities.
• Assists teachers in duties relating to the supervision of student activities (assemblies, field trips.etc.)
• Participates in inservice training programs.
• Checks and records student attendance.
• Distributes and collects workbooks, papers, and other materials for instruction.
• Collects and records collection of money.
• Reads to students, listens to students read, and participates in other forms of oral communication with students.
• Helps students master equipment or instructional materials assigned by teachers.
• Keeps bulletin boards and other classroom learning displays up to date.
• Operates equipment used in the classroom.
• Assists students in the library or media center.
• Move between and within various district offices and buildings.
• Carry on conversations in person and to communicate via telephone.

• Evidence of Mandated Reporter Training less than one year old: Act 126- Mandated Reporter Training: Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse
You will be required to submit evidence of a medical examination made by a physician of your choice and at your cost to include a negative TB test result before you are permitted to begin work. Both the medical examination and TB test result must be less than one (1) year old.
