About this role

CUSTOMER TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT

THE OPPORTUNITY

As our Customer Technology Consultant, you're often the only person from Clearbridge a customer meets face to face. You own tickets end to end, but a meaningful part of your day happens at customer locations, not behind a screen. You show up, you solve the problem in front of you, and you leave the business running better and the relationship stronger than when you arrived.

This is a hands-on role for someone who treats every ticket as a chance to understand the customer's business, not just close the request. You should be as comfortable troubleshooting a server issue as you are sitting across from a customer explaining what happened and what you'd recommend next. You'll report to the Service Manager, work closely with our Service and Deployment team, and have real ownership of your ticket queue and your customer relationships.

This is a full-time, permanent role based out of our Calgary satellite office.

* Please note that travel to our Abbotsford office at least 4 times a year will be required, along with travel in between customer locations in Alberta (all within driving distance)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Travel to customer locations to resolve hardware, network, and workstation issues that can't be fixed remotely

• Own tickets from open to close, digging into root causes and seeing problems through, onsite or remote

• Build customer relationships in person, deep enough to anticipate needs and understand business challenges

• Represent Clearbridge professionally on customer premises, often working alongside customer staff

• Recognize patterns in recurring issues and proactively recommend solutions

• Translate technical problems into plain-language guidance customers can act on

• Learn constantly through shadowing (in-person and virtual), vendor training, and hands-on problem-solving

• Collaborate with a 30-person team that genuinely wants you to succeed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for someone who can walk into a customer's office, take ownership of whatever is in front of them, and leave the business better off than when they arrived, without needing to be told what to do next.

Customer Obsessed

(Relationally Aware) You know that how people are treated is what they remember, especially when you're standing in their office. You genuinely like helping people face to face and on the phone. You're comfortable meeting customers on their turf, patient with non-technical staff, and skilled at translating tech-speak into plain language.

Easy To Work With

(Clear and Straightforward) You make things simple for the people around you, customers and teammates alike. You communicate clearly about what you're doing, what you found, and what happens next. Nobody has to chase you for an update.

Think Beyond Boundaries

(Solutions Beyond the Ticket) You understand technology serves business goals. You think past the immediate ticket and ask what would actually help this customer's business run better. Being onsite gives you a front-row seat to spot those opportunities.

Seek Mastery

(Sweat the Technical Details) You're tech-savvy and you genuinely enjoy figuring things out, often on the spot with a customer watching. You learn from mistakes and see gaps in your knowledge as opportunities, not threats.

Move Tactically

(Own the Outcome) You own tickets from start to finish, even when that requires research, escalation, or a return trip. You try things, document what works, and know when to ask for help without defaulting to it. Customers never wonder if their issue fell through the cracks, especially when you're the one standing in front of them.

MUST-HAVES

• Customer service mindset, energized by helping people solve problems in person and remotely

• Consultative approach, asking thoughtful questions to understand root causes

• Technical curiosity and comfort troubleshooting how systems connect

• Ownership mentality, seeing problems through to resolution

• Strong communication, confident and clear in person, on the phone, and in writing

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel between customer sites

• Properly representing Clearbridge professionally while working on customer premises

• Flexibility, including comfort with on-call rotation and customer needs beyond the typical 9 to 5 working hours

NICE-TO-HAVES

• Previous IT support, MSP, or field service experience

• Familiarity with Windows, Active Directory, O365, or networking fundamentals

• Vendor certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft

• Experience with PSA or RMM tools

• A track record of independent learning, such as side projects or self-taught skills

WHY CLEARBRIDGE

Real growth. Vendor training, internal knowledge sessions, and shadowing with experienced professionals.

Exciting environment. Fast-paced, high-growth company with operations across BC, Alberta, and Washington.

Amazing team. Work with 15 professionals who value collaboration and balance technical excellence with humanity.

Variety. No two days look the same between the satellite office and customer sites.

Meaningful work. Every ticket you close, in person or remote, keeps a business running. That's real impact.

THE REALITY CHECK

This role is based out of our Calgary satellite office at 888 South West Bankers Hall, 10th Floor, but spends significant time on the road at customer locations across the area. You'll be in and out of different businesses, sometimes several in a day, and need to show up professional and composed every time. You'll encounter frustrated customers and unclear problems, sometimes in their space rather than yours. You need to stay calm under pressure, ask thoughtful questions, and own outcomes even when they're messy.

If you want to clock in, close tickets mechanically, and clock out without thinking about customer impact, this isn't it. If you want a place where your growth is genuinely supported, your curiosity encouraged, and your contributions directly impact real businesses in person, we should talk.

OUR CORE VALUES

Customer Obsessed. Easy To Work With. Think Beyond Boundaries. Seek Mastery. Move Tactically.

If these resonate, we should talk.
