About this role

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a People Resource Manager to join our Recruitment team at Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber Trust based at Tickhill Road Hospital.

Our Recruitment team is fully centralised and provides an efficient, comprehensive and timely recruitment service to all areas and services across the RDaSH footprint.

The People Resource Manager will ensure the Trust is provided with a first class recruitment service which is responsive to both current and future service needs meeting NHS Employer standards.

They will lead and develop the resourcing function at RDASH, providing specialist recruitment advice and guidance to managers and establish a healthcare workforce that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve with a strong emphasis on widening access to employment.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will:

Lead on resourcing and recruitment for the Trust providing a specialist consultancy service to managers, actively developing and promoting best practice and delivering resourcing initiatives in response to operational and corporate needs Lead initiatives to widen access to employment opportunities, ensuring inclusive recruitment practices that attract and support candidates from diverse backgrounds Create and develop resourcing and recruitment initiatives to attract high calibre staff at all levels of the Trust ensuring talent is utilised to support strategic and operational objectives Work with managers to identify internal 'talent' pools and opportunities for career development Proactively develop working relationships and work collaboratively with community partners in supporting the local community to find employment, promoting RDaSH as an employer of choice Work collaboratively with the Human Resources Team to ensure staff who are affected by transformational change are provided with redeployment opportunities and support packages Work with the Cultural Improvement Team to ensure that Trust values are embedded within all recruitment practices and interview panels have appropriate representation Understand and promote equality, diversity and inclusion ensuring these are integral to the work being undertaken by the team Provide advice and guidance around pre employment checks including UKVI regulations in relation to visas and sponsorship

Qualifications Essential

Educated to HR degree level or equivalent plus training and/or experience in recruitment practice to postgraduate level Evidence of continuing professional development

Desirable

CIPD qualified/accredited QSIR or equivalent project management qualification

Experience Essential

Experience of designing and delivering recruitment processes including assessment centres/attraction campaigns Experience of designing and delivering training programmes and presentations Management experience Experience of working collaboratively with external networks Experience of working with senior manager including Director level Proven success in instigating and facilitating change in culture, behaviour, thinking and processes Experience of leading projects

Desirable

Experience of using electronic recruitment systems [e.g. NHS Jobs/Trac] Experience of using the UKVI sponsorship management system

Knowledge Essential

Breadth of knowledge of operational recruitment or resourcing and areas of best practice and awareness of their contribution to organisational success Knowledge of continuous improvement and its contribution to the delivery of strategic roles Current and broad knowledge of the NHS operating context Knowledge of employment legislation and NHS employment check standards Understanding of UKVI regulations and compliance requirements for Right to Work in the UK
