About the Role The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions and post-surgical needs. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care while collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote optimal patient outcomes. Assess patient conditions, identify early signs of complications, and respond effectively. Delegate responsibilities appropriately to licensed and unlicensed personnel. Apply knowledge of the clinical information system to accurate patient documentation. Prioritize holistic care that addresses patients’ physical and emotional needs. Carry out the nursing process, coordinate interdisciplinary care planning, and document according to standards while validating the patient’s and caregiver’s understanding of the care plan and expected outcomes.
