Job SummaryYou will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the Technical Division (SP20), of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS. Current permanent employees of BSO NV30 (Strategic Systems Programs), DoD Military Spouse Preference (MSP) eligibles, DoD Military Reserve (MR) and National Guard (NG) Technician Preference eligibles and DoD Retained Grade Preference eligibles, and VEOA eligibles.
QualificationsI have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) or grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a professional engineer managing multi- year budgets for DoW Acquisition projects and life-cycle support of complex weapons systems and evaluating Operational impacts at nuclear weapon facilities and naval shipyards while integrating strategic subsystems across naval ship platforms. Major DutiesYou will coordinates the preparation of complete budget packages for assigned programs based upon SSP requirements and the annual budget call.You will be responsible for the processing of Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System material.You will coordinate with Strategic Weapon Facilities and Navy Operational Test Unit on operational support issues and review all response to fleet problem failure reportsYou will assist the Chief Engineer in monitoring and directing all functions of the Staff Office and serves in the capacity of Staff Office Head.You will represent the Office of the Chief Engineer in engagement with other major command (NR, DCMA,etc) pertaining to topics involving system engineering and technical management as it relates to PAESSP equities.You will represent the Chief Engineer across all PAESSP programs enforcing engineering requirements and rigor
