This is a great opportunity to build skills in healthcare administration while supporting people at an important time in their lives.
You'll be part of the Integrated Nursing & Conditions Service, working within the Specialist Palliative Care Multi-Disciplinary Team. The team supports patients, families and clinicians by making sure information is accurate, timely and handled with care. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide comprehensive administrative support to the service to enable the service to run smoothly to support clinical colleagues in their delivery of patient care
Main duties of the job What you'll do:
Provide day-to-day administrative support to the specialist palliative care service Manage records, correspondence and data with a high level of accuracy Support meetings, appointments and communication across the team Prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a busy environment Handle sensitive and emotive information with professionalism and compassion What we're looking for: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Clear communication and good interpersonal skills Confidence using office systems and managing information Ability to stay calm and efficient under pressure A respectful and thoughtful approach to sensitive situations For further details contact Maria Thornton, Admin Manager on 07522235861 or email [email protected]

Qualifications Essential
Level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Service or equivalent knowledge and experience Level 2 in Word Processing and Text Production
Knowledge Essential
Comprehensive knowledge of a range of routine administration procedures Knowledge of a range of software programmes, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Desirable
Knowledge of other Microsoft packages
Experience Essential
Previous experience of working in an office environment and carrying out general officer procedures Previous experience of supervising a team Previous experience of working with general public

Experience of SystmOne functions Previous NHS experience
