Job summary

FIXED TERM TO 6TH APRIL 2027

Successful applicant will work in a dynamic friendly environment. Although the post is non-training grade, there will be direct Consultant supervision and an educational programme including annual appraisal, 4-monthly supervisor meetings, access to an e-portfolio, study leave and a study leave budget. There will be a specific programme of protected teaching and a wide range of other clinical training activities.

Post holders are encouraged to undertake audit and quality improvement projects. They will also be supported to pursue Membership examinations in their chosen specialty. There will be options to develop formal teaching or research skills.

This post can be tailored to suit doctors at several stages of their career. This post is fixed term to April 2027.

Daily Ward Round Ward Care of Emergency Admissions Exposure to Theatre Pre-Op and Post-Op Management of Elective ENT Surgery Supervised and independent outpatient clinics Teaching of junior ENT doctors On-call duties at Tier 2 level

Person Specification

Senior Clinical Fellow Criteria - ENT Essential

MBBS or equivalent GMC Registered 2 years of post-qualification experience Management of acute and chronic general medical diseases under supervision

Desirable

MRCP Other basic degree, e.g. BSc, Honours or undergraduate distinction Up to date ALS or ATLS Certificate. Attainment of the UK Foundation Programme or an equivalent level of experience.
