Job summary
We are recruiting for a Waiting List Officer - Cardiology who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will provide efficient administrative support in all aspects of the department's work as directed by the Admin Supervisor.
This includes booking patient appointments from waiting lists, answering the phone and dealing with patient queries and working in a busy reception area.
Be able to prioritise own workload & work independently using initiative and deal with frequent interruptions.

Main duties of the job
The Cardiology Diagnostics Team are looking for a Waiting List Officer with excellent communication and team work skills, along with the ability to work independently and flexibly in a fast paced office environment.
You will be responsible for booking from the Waiting Lists and will need to be confident in liaising with both Patients and members of the Cardiology team regarding booking appointments within the Trust Policy Guidelines. A good telephone manner is essential.
Training will be given to learn other aspects of the department to provide cover and support to the wider team.
The role will include weekend working on a rota basis, 1 Sat or Sun in 4 weeks.
